Graduation Project - My Brave New Home
Installation view
As a summary of my artistic development during my two-year study in the Netherlands, my graduation work focused on the emotional memories often overlooked in traditional narratives of history and identity. By using painting to convey these emotional memories, I aimed to rebel against forgetting and preserve the remains of my identity. Art pieces as mnemonic objects help us better understand the complexities of memory and how our personal experiences shape our understanding of ourselves and our relationships with others.
A blue dominated space and a damp cramped cavity to me are two opposites with contradiction.
A sense of submerging, drifting of imprisonment...
The paintings tried to identify the connection between my images, emotion, memory, new identity and belief.
